St. Edward Roman Catholic Church is a very beautiful church in Palm Beach, Florida. The church was established in 1926 by a visionary Jesuit priest, Father Felix Clarkson. Its structure reflects the Spanish Renaissance designs (with 2 towers and a Spanish tile roof). I would say that it reminds me the famous architect Addison Mizner (1872-1933), who built so many gorgeous houses and buildings in Palm Beach and in Boca Raton. The stained glass windows are also striking. At Christmas, the church looks magic. It is definitively my favorite church in South Florida!
Sacred artwork and architecture is breathtaking; however not a traditional liturgy, (lots of peace signs at the kiss of peace, communion in the hand, chatting, etc) but solid homily and regular group that prays the Rosary. Beautiful side Chapels for solitary devotions. We attended on Thanksgiving morning. But we've also been to confession as well as Sunday Mass. No line to speak of for Confession (very sad). No use of altar rail. Kneeling to receive is allowed, but its not typical. A permitted alternative that is more traditional is the SSPX Chapel, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.
St Edward is a stunningly well preserved Roman Catholic Church. Cardinal Newman (Catholic) High School nearby has a Baccalaureate Mass every May for their graduates here. It was lovely. I enjoy visiting as often as we can.
Beautiful church with very wealthy congregation! Only problem is women who wear tons of perfume make it hard to breathe. I have to change my seat constantly as they pour in after Mass starts loaded with toxic scents.
Beautiful mass, historic building from the 20s. Pope organ makes the experience.
Beautiful church. I enjoyed a peaceful Sunday Mass!
Beautiful church a d a must visit when in the area. Looking forward to attending mass again soon.
ProTip, if ur receiving Eucharist on the tongue, go to the Priest, usually center right line. the best mass is 7a Sunday.
